The seeds of The Struts were sown in 2009 when singer Luke Spiller and guitarist Adam Slack met in a Derby concert hall. Their mutual admiration for classic rock icons and shared passion for energetic music gave birth to a musical partnership that would soon blossom into The Struts in 2012.
Spiller, with his stage presence and distinctive voice, has established himself as the heart and soul of The Struts. He embodies the spirit of classic rock frontmen, captivating audiences with his theatrical performances and enthusiasm. Slack leads the band with his electrifying guitar riffs, which are the driving force behind the band's distinctive sound. Together with bassist Jed Elliott and drummer Gethin Davies, they form a tight unit, delivering powerful live performances that have won them a loyal following.
The Struts' music is a fusion of classic rock and modern influences, blending the energy of the 70s with 21st-century production techniques. Their songs are characterized by catchy melodies, anthemic choruses and a guitar sound that evokes the spirit of classic rock legends.
In 2014, they released their debut album, "Everybody Wants", which marked their breakthrough outside their own borders, including an opening slot for the Rolling Stones in Italy, followed by "Young & Dangerous" four years later, which saw them tour with the Foo Fighters.
The Struts have continued to evolve their music slightly with each new album, adding new elements and experimenting with various genres, while retaining their characteristic classic rock style. This led to the release of "Strange Days" in 2020, featuring numerous guests such as Joe Elliott and Phil Collen from Def Leppard and Robbie Willians, and "Pretty Vicious" in 2023, their latest album to date.

DID YOU KNOW?
The band chose the name The Struts following an offhand remark made during a rehearsal. Spiller said in a 2015 interview, "I was walking around and someone said, 'You strut a lot.' That's where the band name comes from.
Luke Spiller was recruited by Mike Oldfield to sing on his 2014 album "Man On The Rocks".
Singer Luke Spiller grew up listening to Queen and always wanted to be a rock star. He started singing in Queen cover bands as a teenager and eventually formed The Struts with Adam Slack.
