Vandenberg is a Dutch hard rock band formed in 1981 by guitarist Adrian Vandenberg. the latter came to the attention of British singer David Coverdale, who was looking for a new guitarist for his band Whitesnake. Adrian accepted the offer and went on to play on the hit albums "Slip of the Tongue" (1989) and "Restless Heart" (1997).

In 1981, Adrian decided to form his own band, simply called Vandenberg. He recruited singer Bert Heerink, bassist Dick Kemper and drummer Jos Zoomer to complete the line-up. Together, they created a distinctive sound blending elements of melodic hard rock and heavy metal.

In 1982, Vandenberg released their self-titled debut album to immediate success. The album included the hit single 'Burning Heart', which propelled the band onto the international scene. Bert Heerink's powerful vocals and Adrian Vandenberg's captivating guitar solos were acclaimed by hard rock fans. The opus was followed by "Heading for a Storm" in 1983. The album was well received by critics and cemented the band's reputation as a rising force in hard rock. Songs like 'Friday Night' and 'Waiting for the Night' became fan favorites.

In 1985, Vandenberg released their third album, "Alibi", which featured a slightly more heavy metal-oriented sound. The album was well received, but did not achieve the same level of commercial success as its predecessors.

After "Alibi", Vandenberg underwent a number of line-up changes and finally decided to split up in 1986. Adrian then joined British rock band Manic Eden, before re-forming Whitesnake in 1997.

In 2020, Vandenberg made a comeback with a new album entitled "2020". Vandenberg assembled a new line-up of talented musicians, including singer Ronnie Romero, to record new songs. In 2023, the band released "Sin" with Mats Leven (Malmsteen, Treat) on vocals, replacing Romero, and continues to offer us effective hard rock tracks harking back to Whitesnake's golden period.
