He began his musical career playing in local bands, and in 1983 formed Bon Jovi with a few musician friends. The band quickly signed a recording contract and released their self-titled debut album in 1984, which met with moderate success.
It was with their third album, "Slippery When Wet" in 1986, that Bon Jovi achieved worldwide fame. The album was a huge commercial success, propelled by hit singles such as 'Livin' on a Prayer' and its famous talk-box, 'You Give Love a Bad Name' and 'Wanted Dead or Alive'. Bon Jovi became a true popular music phenomenon, attracting huge crowds on their world tours.
The band continued to release successful albums throughout the 1980s and 1990s, including 'New Jersey' (1988) and 'Keep the Faith' (1992). Bon Jovi also made their mark on the charts with ballads such as 'Always' and 'Bed of Roses', which reinforced their status as rock icons.
From the 2000s onwards, Bon Jovi continued to release new albums and tour the world. Their album "Crush" (2000) was a commercial success, thanks to the single 'It's My Life'. The band also explored different musical influences, notably with the album "Lost Highway" (2007), which incorporated elements of country music.
Over the decades, Bon Jovi has sold over 100 million albums worldwide and won numerous awards, including a Grammy Award and MTV Video Music Awards. The band is also known for its philanthropic commitment, notably through the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, which helps disadvantaged people.
