To everyone's surprise, SLAYER announced this Wednesday, February 21, its return to the stage after announcing its separation in 2019. The group composed of Kerry King (who will release his first solo album "From Hell I Rise" on May 17), Tom Araya, Gary Holt and Paul Bostaph will headline two festivals: September 22 at Riot Fest in Chicago and September 27, 2024 at Louder Than Life in Louisville.
This reformation is surprising to say the least since Kerry King had declared earlier in the month that he had not heard from frontman Tom Araya since the group hung up after their “last” concert at the LA Forum on November 30, 2019 .
