Ozzy Osbourne attacks the '90s, boosted. He put an end to his alcohol and drug worries, he proved his artistic form with "No Rest For The Wicked" and with Zakk Wylde, he found an accomplice worthy of Randy Rhoads. Knowing that Lemmy Kilmister participated in his writing, to say that the arrival of "No More Tears" in the fall of 1991 was eagerly awaited is a sweet understatement.

Fans won't be disappointed as "No More Tears" delivers a shower of unifying hits including "Mr. Tinkertrain", "I Don't Want To Change The World", "Desire", "Road To Nowhere" and "Hellraiser". Served by high quality choruses, riffs and incisive soli, the songs instantly go straight to the heart.

But that's not all. With "Mama I'm Coming Home", Ozzy signs an intense ballad of poignant sincerity and with "No More Tears", he offers us one of his greatest tracks. From its shivering bassline to its main riff and its huge chorus, this track has entered the pantheon of heavy music greats. The central break, at the same time symphonic and epic with a duel between piano and guitar of great class, adds to the genius of this song worthy of the Queen of the great hours. If the rest of the record, from "Sin" to "Time After Time" via "Zombie Stomp", goes unnoticed at first because it's less intense on first listening, it nevertheless offers a quite correct content with a Wylde always as precise and an Ozzy Osbourne who seems to have found a second youth.

"No More Tears" is of the same caliber as Ozzy's first two records. It has the same strength and the same intensity. With this album, Ozzy launches himself into the 90's with renewed energy and conviction.

OTHER REVIEWS
OZZY OSBOURNE: No Rest For The Wicked (1988)
HEAVY METAL - Knowing how to surround himself with people and grasping fashions and trends, Ozzy managed a nice trick with this opportunistic and intelligent album, a bit underestimated.
OZZY OSBOURNE: Ozzmosis (1995)
HEAVY METAL - Despite a few small flaws, "Ozzmosis" remains a solid and very correct album from good old Ozzy who wasn't wrong to come out of retirement.
