When "Frozen Moments Between Life And Death" was released, we hoped that Loudblast wouldn't hang out anymore as they so often did it. It seems that the Northern band has listened to us by being back with this seventh album, "Burial Ground".

The band proposes a heavy and crushing death at the borders of the Doom as it is practiced by Triptykon. Just like its disturbing cover, Loudblast clearly puts itself on the dark side of the force by delivering an opus of a rare darkness.

From 'A Bloody Oath' the listener gets into a gloomy universe, as repulsive as it is attractive. In the middle of this black ocean, the light comes from brilliant solos, both technical and melodic, bringing a breathing of the most beautiful effect. Little by little through 'Darkness Will Abide', 'Ascending Straight In Circle' and its sweet introduction, 'I Reach The Sun' or 'From Dried Bones' the album becomes relentless and penetrates the minds without hope of redemption.

By merging the dark side of death metal with the crushing spirit of doom to which is mixed intense guitar melodies, Loudblast achieves a real master stroke. He offers us a monolithic set of a rare coherence worthy of the greatest of the genre. And he concludes his record beautifully with 'The Path' which mixes all these ingredients with a beautiful mastery. The tone is very fast, the solos are breathtaking and the low vocals coming from beyond the grave are perfectly adapted to make this track a perfect finale.

With "Burial Ground", Loudblast strikes a blow and offers one of the best  extreme records of these last years.  Despite almost 30 years of career, the French band is in great shape and gives a brilliant lesson to the young generation.
