For its second album, Pink Cream 69 continues on its very good momentum by hardening the tone a little. The Germans move away from the US hard trend to clearly display a more powerful tone. With "One Size Fits All", Andi Deris and his band confirm the hopes they raised with the eponymous album released 2 years earlier.

One of the strongest points of this album is the talent of Andi Deris who shows a real ease in all registers, in the power and in the aggressiveness as in the softness never falling in the mawkishness. But the four protagonists constitute a coherent whole in term of control. The alchemy is there thanks to the complementarity of the musicians and the perfect execution of very well written tracks.

As soon as 'Livin' My Life For You', the listener feels on familiar ground with a sharp sense of melody, a hot chorus and Alfred Koffler's guitar effects. But some nuances are audible. The first of them is the tone of Deris, who likes to be more powerful, but especially the presence and the velocity of Kosta Zarifiou behind his drums. 'Talk To The Moon' is in the same vein with always this unstoppable chorus. 'Do You Like It Like That' is very characteristic of Pink Cream 69. It gives the impression of a band that doesn't take itself seriously but still delivers very effective melodies and rhythms. The ballad 'Where The Eagles Learn To Fly' and 'We Taught The Children' close the album on a very nice melodic touch.

On the other hand, several tracks leave you a bit frustrated: 'Hell's Gone Crazy' has an explosive solo but the piece don't convince, 'Walkin' Out To Heaven' is rather dispensable just like 'Stray Kid' which is also rather conventional.

"One Size Fits All" is a very nice work despite some weak tracks. The convincing refrains, the enthusiasm felt and the talent of composition allow to classify this album among the most beautiful successes of the beginning of the Nineties.
