"Encore un très bon album de Hard Rock mélodique suédois pour les amateurs de W.E.T. et de H.E.A.T."

Three years after their excellent fourth album "Bleed And Scream", the Swedes from Eclipse are offering us their new offering. "Armageddonize" picks up where it left off in 2012. It offers eleven tracks in a hard and melodious rock.
The arrival of a new bass player and the fact that their usual keyboard player is not credited on the opus have led us, at first sight, to believe that the dissensions risked disrupting the combo's momentum. Absolutely not ! The boys have probably made their best album here. This opus sounds very like W.E.T. but let's not be surprised since, remember, Erik Martensson, here frontman and guitarist, handles the six-string in Soto's band and Magnus Enriksson, guitarist of his condition, is also a member of this other Swedish combo. "Armaggedonize" sounds also like H.E.A.T. undoubtedly.
The melodic Hard Rock tone of the album has some variations in terms of power and can sometimes flirt with certain metallic trends. The opus offers only one moment of rest witha ballad that the Swedes have chosen to muscle in power version, proof of their desire not to disturb the energetic momentum wanted for this production.
Nevertheless, the quality of the melodies shows, it must be admitted and therefore regrettable, a very slight slowdonw on the second part of the opus despite the excellent "Love Bites", to which can be added, if you are lucky enough to have the Japanese edition, the acoustic version of "The Storm". This title, written by Martensson at the time of his father's death, sees in this version its dramatic impact accentuated. However, the first part of the album is of such a high level that this slight in final speed does not contradict the good overall impression left by this "Armageddonize".
Lovers of melodic and strong sounds have been spoilt in recent months with the opuses of Revolution Saints, Serious Black and others Lande & Holter and Sweet & Lynch. It's not this record that will stop the party ! - Official website
