A new "Enchant" album does not go unnoticed. After a convincing Juggling 8 or ping 10 I was eager to hear their last record.

Like Everon, Enchant is fortunate to have an original classification. Indeed, thanks to their metal music, far from being aggressive (without being soft), their genre perfectly matches neo-progressive metal. Just like their previous album, a little less "violent", BOAE is very easily assimilated. The melodies are catchy and some could easily be played on the radio (if some had a little courage and musical culture).

Even if their music is not aggressive, it's still prog metal with good coated riffs and technical and beautiful guitar/keyboard solos. The voice is well calibrated but located in a register that can be tiring in the long run. On the progressive side, we can appreciate the bass which sometimes goes wild (especially in the fabulous bonus track called Prognosis) and the omnipresent atmospheric aspect.

In the end, the content of this opus is varied and without any unpleasant surprises. The maturity of the band is no longer to be proven and everything is easy and natural. Some songs are fabulous (I repeat myself but Prognosis is amazing), others more FM and others more prog. Another group that deserves our support to allow them to offer us other intense musical moments in the future.

OTHER REVIEWS
THE FLOWER KINGS: Flower Power (1999)
PROGRESSIVE ROCK - With "Flower Power", the "Flower Kings" leave the listener stunned. The richness it contains makes it a full-fledged album, hardly accessible.
YES: Close To The Edge (1972)
PROGRESSIVE ROCK - "Close to the Edge" didn't take a wrinkle thirty years and established Yes as one of the leaders of the progressive movement of the 70s.
