""Judas" is a good Heavy Metal album carried by a Chris Jericho as comfortable in the ring as on vocals."

Along with his wrestling career, Chris Jericho continues his adventure with the heavy metal band he founded with Chris Ward. Then Fozzy released its seventh album entitled "Judas". The eponymous track has been the subject of a video clip that has already been seen almost 10 million times on the web, attesting the Americans' success.

It must be admitted that the band has a certain talent for success, namely a modern and powerful sound, catchy and in-your-face vocals and an overflowing energy that allows them to perform live. The album opener, 'Judas', is bound to make a lasting impression in this respect. It consists of a powerful rise to a very effective chorus. The sound is more or less heavy and powerful. Then 'Painless' has a riff that gets heavier and heavier in a rather slow but very accessible song. The funkier riffs on 'Weight Of The World' are a bit jarring, but as they are integrated into the confined environment of this well controlled heavy metal, it just flows.

Fozzy takes a few risks while still emphasising their strengths in well-calibrated songs. A track like 'Burn Me Out' has a refreshing disco/electro vibe that can be a real hit on stage. Three Days In Jail' has a metalcore feel to it, with one part rap, one part growl, all very direct and engaging. Just like the band's other albums, 'Judas' has the qualities to convince the American market.

With effective songs that are made for the stage, Fozzy is back with a strong case. An album that will confirm and even further contribute to the success of our Texans.
