"Only Human" is Vega's fifth album since their first offering in 2010. We still find at the controls the singer Nick Workman whose voice sometimes reminds us of Grönwall (H.E.A.T.), sometimes Sammet (Edguy) and the Martin twins who also worked for Issa and Ted Poley. But this time the band welcomes a sixth member, guitarist Mikey Kew while Harry Hess (Harem Scarem) is still in charge of mastering and mixing.

Vega and the Melodic Hard Rock, it is a love story that lasts. Arena Rock runs in their veins and their compositions are all radio friendly. But, unlike many bands of the genre, they always inject fun and dynamics into their songs.

From the punchy 'Let's Have Fun Tonight', 'Worth Dying For' and 'Gravity', to the FM's 'Only Human', 'Last Man Standing', 'Mess You Made' and 'All Over Now', the catchy 'Go To War' (which makes you want to raise a glass), the mid-tempo 'Come Back Again' and the 80's power ballad 'Standing Still', Vega has concocted an album that Def Leppard wouldn't disavow.

"Only Human" is a highly recommendable opus. Once again Vega has outdone himself for our listening pleasure. This group now deserves to enter into the light because it is quite possible that they will now have to be among the best of their kind.

CRYSTAL PALACE: Scattered Shards (2018)
PROGRESSIVE ROCK - In a style inherited from the German or Dutch neo-progressive rock bands of the end of the last century, this high quality "Scattered Shards" will surely delight the fans of the genre.
GAZPACHO: Soyuz (2018)
PROGRESSIVE ROCK - "Soyuz" proves to be much less intense than the previous Gazpacho releases, which at times loses the listener's attention through a lack of melody and memorable moments.
