"An album in the form of a tribute to the discography of the late Ronnie Jamie Dio with original well-conceived titles."

A new supergroup is coming to the melodic hard rock scene. It is Dream Child, not to be confused with the French band that didn't survive the change of millennium. Fans of the genre should be enthusiastic about the composition of the combo. Check it out: Craig Goldy (ex-Dio) on guitar, Waye Findlay (MSG) on guitar and keyboards, Simon Wright (ex AC/DC, Dio, Operation Mindcrime) on drums, Rudy Sarzo (ex Quiet Riot, Ozzy, Whitensake) on bass and Diego Valdez (Helker) behind the microphone. The first album "Until Death Do We Meet Again" is released by Frontiers Music, a specialist of the genre.
In fact, we're dealing with a kind of totally assumed and claimed ersatz of Rainbow and Dio, modern and powerful. Valdez's vocals are indeed strongly reminiscent, if not the timbre, of Ronnie's style and aggression. Behind these screams, we find a square music, not necessarily very original but strongly tinged with hard rock and heavy metal eighties style. The 13 tracks reveal an indisputable know-how magnified by the rather modern and dynamic production of Alessandro Del Vecchio.
From the beginning of the album and its very good introduction 'Under The Wire', we are in the presence of effective and catchy riffs, a perfectly oiled guitar/keyboard arrangement, choruses and solos in the pure tradition and obviously sharp and often catchy vocal lines. The rhythms are quite traditional but no less formidable. Thus the guitars which intermingle, the keyboard which knows how to be either discreet or thunderous and the powerful vocals are at the service of compositions rather well worked even if certain lengths can appear, in particular on the most innovative parts which one can find on the titles 'Until Death Do We Meet Again' or 'Washed Unpon The Shore' which are a little more progressive.
With "Until Death Do We Meet Again", Dream Child fulfills its contract with ease by delivering an efficient album that will make us plunge back into a music that every metal or rock fan has enjoyed in his life. It is a beautiful tribute that can only give us the excellent idea to immerse ourselves in the discography of Dio. - Official website
