"Chrome Division returns to its roots for a last ride on the road in a pure rock'n' roll spirit worthy of Motörhead."

Initially a simple project, Chrome Division has become a band in its own right. Dimmu Borgir on stand-by, Shagrath gave him the priority for two heavier albums. He wanted to go back to the roots of this project for a last reverent album. "One Last Ride" sees the return of its original singer, Eddie Guz, and has a common thread, the end of the band in the form of an ode to rock'n' roll and life on the road. For this last opus and thanks to Eddie's raspy voice, the band returns to its first loves in Motörhead's footsteps with a fat and direct hardcore.
"One Last Ride" is built as an epic with an introduction and credits at the end like in a western, to better train us on the roads. There is no deception about the merchandise. 'So Fragile' is a perfect opening cut in carried by Eddie's rocky voice. The album is an invitation to get moving with stirring rock riffs, disjointed solos and a burning rhythm. 'Back In Town', 'I'm On Fire Tonight' or 'Staying Until The End' are hard rock hymns designed to set a biker audience on fire.
But there are some variations, in this rock spirit but with a different feeling. There are blues and Rose Tattoo influences in 'You Are Dead To Me' and 'The Call'. The feeling of listening to a story lived on the road is strong, with atmospheres worthy of an old bar lost on a desert road. There is also with "Walk Away In Shame" a rock and live track sung in duet with Miss Sella which makes its effect thanks to a very warm groove. Finally there is the tribute to Lemmy with "We Drink", a real hymn with the same rock feeling and a perfect hoarse voice.
If this is really to be the end for Chrome Division, this opus is perfect. The band found the perfect rock'n' roll groove and ends its journey in beauty without turning around in the same way as the finale of Thelma & Louise. - Official website
