"Combining stoner, blues, alternative rock, no doubt that this racy album will be nominated for the best rock album of the year."

Between line up changes, label worries, more important recognition that is slow to come despite the quality of a good discography, many would have given up. This is not the case for 7 Weeks.
After a "Farewell To Dawn" which looked back on the band's adolescence and the end of a chapter, "Sisyphus" wrote a new one, especially from a musical point of view. It must be said that 7 weeks is at the frontier of several styles: stoner, blues, alternative rock... there's something to get lost. It is on these bases that the combo will write and start composing an album based on the myth of Sisyphus, the man who was condemned by the Gods of Olympus to make a rock roll and fall from a hill in perpetuity.
The architecture of the nine pieces refers to a kind of path, conscious or unconscious, that leads to the final apotheosis constituted by '667-Off', which synthesizes all that has been heard before, like the final bouquet of a fireworks display. On this path, the listener will pass through the aerial 'Gone' which already brings something new to the band. 7 weeks doesn't turn everything upside down and we find again its very American rock sound in reference to one of its influences (Soundgarden) in 'Solar Ride'. The whole album is full of addictive tracks in which Julien shows a very good technical mastery on vocals like in the haunting 'Sisyphus' or the brilliant 'Magnificent Loser' with its unstoppable verses.
Two tracks emerge from this massive mastodon. First of all one of the most beautiful rock tracks for many years personified by 'Idols', of an absolute effectiveness with this swaying rhythmic which carries you in the depths of darkness when a raging refrain comes to pull you out of your torpor. And of course this '667-out' with six minutes that are almost progressive in which the band gives itself thoroughly between fat, sharp riffs, heavenly choruses, disturbing passages and a Dantesque finale.
Freer in its head, the band wrote a new chapter, finer, more varied and dominates its subject even more. There is no doubt that this racy and airy album will be nominated for the best rock album of the year. - Official website
