Under the name of Brothers Of Metal hide a band that was formed in Sweden in 2012. Born as a group of buddies, it grew to the point of being noticed with its first album, "Prophecy Of Ragnarök", which develops a heavy melodic tinged with power with three singers in a line-up of eight members all dressed up as Nordic warriors. The whole is in the line of a generation carried by Sabaton and Powerwolf and in which Gloryhammer, Twilight Force or Battle Beast have been part of.

Two years later, the band is back with "Emblas Saga". The record plunges even more into the heart of Nordic mythology in the form of the first part of an epic saga. Composed of thirteen tracks, the record is built like an adventure movie. From the introduction 'Blood Of The Trickster', there is an epic breath that evokes the "Lord of the Rings". Afterwards this Nordic tale feeling will always be present. The credit goes to the three singers who are perfectly highlighted: between a very pure feminine vocal, a raspy one close to Amon Amarth and a deeper one, the mix is marvellous. The result is some nice moments of bravery with 'Powersnake', 'One', 'Njord' and 'Brothers Unite' that stand out particularly well, sounding like film dialogues.

Musically the whole is varied. On a melodic power metal base, the band opens up to a lot of influences and this results in a rich and never boring record. The epic side with the wind in your hair comes out on 'Hel', 'Theft Of The Hammer', 'Brothers Unite' and 'Ride Of The Valkyries'. There's Amon Amarth for the warrior side with a melodic force more asserted by mastered riffs and solos. 'Chain Breaker' is dynamic and more heavy carried with a tone worthy of Judas Priest. There are also catchy tracks with a nice pinch of folk. 'Weaver Of Fate' 'Njord' and 'One' are very pleasant with strong melodies carried by the vocals. Finally there's a longer track, typical of the genre with 'Emblas Saga'. With its rise in power, it's a success in an epic cinematographic perspective gathering all the musical qualities of the band.

With 'Emblas Saga', Brothers Of Metal confirms his high potential. The band shows freshness and signs an epic record in the form of a nice trip to the north. Thanks to its sympathy and its catchy side, the band has good weapons to climb the ladder quickly.
