Originally from Soissons, Trash Heaven was founded in 2006 under the name Hostile before taking its current name in 2012. He has already released two albums and works in a heavy, thrash-tinged style with a concern for melody that hits the bull's eye. With "4 Head's For A Crown", he's back in business six years after a "Dementia" that had allowed him to seduce fans and to skim the stages. His new baby is made up of twelve tracks that set in a very old school spirit.
The 80's era emerges with an energy that makes you want to headbang. 'Thrashed Heaven', 'Beast Inside', 'Succubus' and 'The Last March' are particularly striking, regaining the spirit of the great veterans such as Iron Maiden, Anthrax or Megadeth with a raging side carried by an amazing technique. The result is irresistible galloping riffs and classy solos with delicious harmonies and a thrilling speed side. On the vocals, the old school aspect is in the spotlight. The screaming tone may be surprising, but it works with a King Diamond side that comes out on 'Beast Inside'. In the same vein, 'Danse Macabre', a high-flying instrumental that confirms the virtuosity of the musicians, will also be highlighted.
But the record is not only anchored in this tone: there is first of all a 70's spirit that emerges with the diptych 'The Tree Of Wisdom', which has a melancholic side worthy of UFO or the Scorpions of the time, with a very restrained vocal full of feeling. Riffs and solos allow you to take a plunge in time. The impression of travel is total with a storytelling side that stands out in the bend of passages tinged with folk. Secondly, the other diptych, '4 Head's For A Crown', is in a spirit close to the wave of hair metal, not far from a Cinderella or Skid Row, with the same freshness in an excellent chorus and a high-flying instrumental part.
With "4 Head's For A Crown", Trash Heaven signs a very nice Thrash Metal record. It allows us to plunge with delight into the heart of a golden age and should delight fans of a sound full of freshness and tinged with a certain naivety. - Official website
