"If you like Iron Maiden, Metallica or Thin Lizzy, this "Dark Revolution" is for you."

For 37 years, Tokyo Blade has been offering a mix of catchy rhythms, twin guitars and catchy vocals, wrapped in a melodic atmosphere populated by the ghosts of Iron Maiden, Thin Lizzy and Metallica. "Dark Revolution" is still in this vein, which is logical, since all the members of this Tokyo Blade 3.0 were already present on the band's first or second album.

The start of this new production is awesome. The catchy riff on 'Story Of A Nobody' explodes and leads to a hyper-catchy chorus followed by a traditional solo. the title borders on perfection just as 'Burning Rain', with its cleverly crafted and seductive choruses. The way is open for the eponymous very speedy track which is not far from Metallica. The following title, 'The Fastest Gun In Town', is powerful, sharp and melodious, it quickly becomes addictive and reminds us, with its twins guitars, Thin Lizzy. Of course, you will sometimes cross Iron Maiden's path, notably on the huge 'Crack In The Glass', and could even meet another now exctinct band, 220 Volt, on the 'See You Down In Hell' rocket.

The British samurais seem to be back and are here delivering eleven lethal sword blows. The old ones who knew the NWOBHM have here the opportunity to take a bath in the fountain of youth. As for the younger ones, if the bands of Dickinson, Hetfield and Lynott means something for them, they should throw an ear to this authentic opus, image of a certain era.

HELL OF A RIDE: Nine Of Cups (2019)
HARD ROCK - "Nine Of Cups" is the demonstration that a band can evolve while keeping its foundations. Between Hard Rock and Modern Metal, it is a breath of fresh air in the rock landscape.
