"Confirming their aptitude for a thrash that knows how to leave room for catchy melodies, Flotsam And Jetsam is at its best with this "Blood In The Water"."

The veteran is in good shape. With "The End Of Chaos", the Americans of Flotsam And Jetsam showed that time had no hold on them. Fresh and raging, the record was a thrash bomb that brought the band back to the forefront. The expected follow-up is called "Blood In The Water" and we hope that it confirms this renewed form.
Presenting a cover quite similar to its predecessor, the album throws twelve tracks leaning towards a percussive thrash sometimes mixing with heavy and keeping a great melodic strength. The positive point comes from the variety of the whole and the mixture of styles allowing this long disc not to be tiresome. 'Blood In The Water', 'Burn The Sky', 'The Wicked Hour', 'Reaggression' and 'Seven Seconds 'Til The End Of The World' are delightful and full of freshness. The power is there with a huge punch, an intense rhythm and excellent riffs and solos. Erik's vocals are full of rage while keeping a melodic character especially on the choruses.
But Flotsam And Jetsam reminds us that he also knows how to slow down the tempo. 'The Wall', with its Iron Maiden-like vocals, has a catchy chorus and a great solo. 'Cry For The Dead' is a power ballad tinged with melancholy with a veiled vocal all in nuances for a very catchy result. But with 'Brace For Impact' and 'Grey Dragon', the band makes the power speak: they are two snarling bombs with fiery solos worthy of a Slayer.
"Blood On The Water" confirms with brilliance the form of Flotsam And Jetsam. The record is a formidable powerful and melodic slap. - Official website
