"Complete reworking of the orchestral parts of Acts IV and V of the Dear Hunter hexalogy, "The Fox And The Hunt" is an extremely accomplished symphonic work, but with a dynamism far from the "Acts"."

It's been more than 5 years that Casey Crescenzo's fans have been waiting for the ultimate volume of "Acts". Five years during which the creator of the Dear Hunter project has just released an EP, just to make people wait. And now, in the middle of this year 2021, here comes a new LP "The Fox And The Hunt", credited to The Dear Hunter, by Casey Crescenzo and Brian Adam McCune, has arrived. Awesome !
But by the way, who is this Brian Adam McCune? Nothing less than the founder of the Awesöme Orchestra, a true member of the Dear Hunter project from Act IV onwards, responsible for the indispensable orchestral additions that are one of the trademarks of the band. In parallel to a career as a video game developer, he is a percussionist and arranger and his work is essential in the alchemy of the last Acts.
The idea of the two companions is to rework the orchestral parts of Acts IV and V into a set of symphonic pieces. An experiment that Casey has already tried since he composed a symphony (a break between Acts III and IV). Those who know the man know that he never does things by halves: no question of tinkering with a vulgar copy-paste of already recorded pieces, it is a complete reworking that Casey delivers here, with a colossal work of rewriting.
The result will not speak to everyone: on the one hand, you have to be a symphonic music lover and on the other hand, you have to be a fan of the Acts to play the game of "where does this passage come from? But this "Fox" is remarkable in many ways, first of all because the pieces are admirably composed and arranged. It is impossible to isolate one of them from a very homogeneous whole, which is tasted like a good vintage, with attention and respect. - Official website
