In a short time, Alex Straopoli has rebuilt his version of Rhapsody. Powered by a brand new line-up, he revived a tired machine, artistically as well as by the numerous extra-musical jolts. "The Eight Montain" showed a re-welded formation, carried by a convincing Giacomo Voli, who proposed a strong a symphonic power metal. Rhapsody Of Fire is back with "Glory For Salvation", sequel to "The Eight Mountain", second part of a trilogy with a cover showing the idea of a cinematic suite. Quite short, less than an hour, it's a concept album with action, twists and a touch of motion.

What is striking is the place taken by the direct and catchy titles in the spirit of the recently released single. In this idea, besides ‘I’ll Be Your Hero’ the group proposes with ‘Son Of Vengeance’, ‘Glory For Salvation’ and ‘Infinitae Gloriae’ pleasant songs. Giacomo confirms that he is the ideal choice. His very pure and melodic voice transcends the songs, it shines on very effective choruses well accompanied by the choirs. The tone is symphonic with touches of folk and excellent soli on the keyboard or guitar for an effective result. 'The Kingdom Of Ice’ and Chains Of Destiny’ show a very heavy fast rhythm. Giacomo is also good in a powerful tone especially on the choruses made for the stage.

Alongside the tracks that give the record its cinematic dimension. The folk ballad "Terial The Hawk" is a classic of the band's work; carried by Giacomo, the song is seductive with a melodic tune and an irresistible dance beat. The disc includes a long piece, 'Abyss Of Pain II'. Between a beginning with very spiritual songs, a heavy acceleration, powerful and calm vocals, melodic parts and high level solos, it's a must. Finally the classic ballad is present: 'Magic Signs' is carried by a melancholic tune, a catchy chorus and a romantic side.

With "Glory For Salvation", Rhapsody Of Fire continues its road in a very beautiful way. He has certainly less aura than at his beginnings but he continues to delight with a fresh and playful music in the form of a nice dive into a world of adventure.

PROGRESSIVE ROCK - Very varied, always interesting, admirably played and sung, "Kama Sutra" holds the listener in breath from one end to the other.
UNITED GUITARS: Vol. 3 (2021)
ROCK - One more chapter for "United Guitars" which returns like every year with its now well broken-in concept, at the risk of running out of steam a little.
