"Anchored in an old school thrash between Megadeth, Death Angel and Exodus, "The Art Of A Maniac" is an excellent thrash album that allows us to discover Tymo, a promising band."

Hailing from Edmonton, Canada, Tymo came into being during 2015. After a first hard rock period, the band turned to thrash with their second album, "Purge & Reset". After scouring the local scenes, they released their third LP, "The Art Of A Maniac".

From the logo and the very colorful cover, it is easy to understand that Tymo is anchored in an old school thrash, between Megadeth, Death Angel and Exodus. Composed of 9 tracks, the record doesn't get lost on the way with barely more than half an hour of music. From 'Tymonicide' the tone is set. With this instrumental the group makes a first big hit. The rhythm is sustained, we find the spirit of the first Megadeth with fast and melodic soli.

Thereafter Tymo does not slow down with an explosive  and an intense rhythm. The raw vocals evoke Death Angel, the tone is very fast and finds the the mean and snarling side of Slayer. Tymo also offers some groovy tracks: 'Age Of Deception' ventures towards crossover, carried by the choirs on the chorus. 'War Beneath The Skull' displays a bass forward, a high level of technique and an effective chorus. All these qualities are gathered in 'Alcoholcaust' with a technical and melodic instrumental part at the same time.

With "The Art Of A Maniac", Tymo offers an excellent thrash album on which we discover a band capable of setting fire to any audience.

NEO/NU METAL - A kind of synthesis of Papa Roach's career, "Ego Trip" goes back to the origins of the band while keeping some aspects a little too smooth which will not please everyone.

ROCK - With this electro-pop-rock "Human Disorder", Skip The Use offers a personal and modern album with flawless energy.
