Almost three decades after his genesis, the Germanic sextet with the unalterable line-up continues to dig its own furrow with great reinforcements of industrial hammerings, electric theatrical flights and guttural declamations, allowing itself to release a new unexpected album in the form of an epitaph: "Zeit".

If Rammstein never made in the delicacy, it is necessary to notice that exceeding the quarter of a century mark contributed to make the musicians more subtle. But this does not always mean wisdom: if the title track questions the passing of time, between sensitive piano and sincere plea, 'Zick Zack' does the same thing but this time by mocking liposuction and the ravages of plastic surgery.

For the sticky heaviness of 'Schwarz' ('Black') and 'Angst' ('Fear'), there are the saucy 'big tits' of 'Dicke Titten', where 'Giftig' ('Toxic') harangues and charms in anticipation of the next stadium tour, Lügen' ('Lie') allows itself the affront of making the vocoder acceptable to give new inflections to Till Landeman's vocal cords.

Born from the frustration of having to stop everything, the album feeds on the confinements and other global disturbances linked to the Covid 19 pandemic. Resulting from an aborted world tour and poems taken from Till's collections, the songs deploy new experiments, from the use of an angelic choir ('OK') to the hire of Bryan Adams to take the band's photos and the cover.

One step more for the band, and if 'Adieu' should prove to be a prophetic epilogue, the book can be closed without shame thanks to these eleven new tracks that are added to the Germano-shock commandments and confirm the rule of three:
Time is passing.
Death is getting closer.
Rammstein is unchangeable.

HARD ROCK - Once again, the risk-taking pays off and Thunder succeeds in offering a captivating and varied work with a "Dopamine" as effective as committed.
INDIGO RAVEN: Looking For Transcendence (2021)
DOOM - A rumbling mass fogged by feminine melodies, "Looking For Transcendence" carries a pulsating and incantatory magma shaped by Indigo Raven, a band as strange as it is promising.
