"After a delicate period, Lamb Of God comes back to business with this "Omens", certainly the most brutal record of their career."

By proposing in 2020 an eponymous album, Lamb Of God had reassured themselves after a delicate period despite a record that brought nothing new to their discography and was a kind of transition. The musicians went back to the studio for a ninth album, "Omens", with a stable line-up. Composed of ten tracks, the record is short, Lamb Of God having decided to go straight to the point.
On their previous opus, the band's formula had shown signs of running out of steam. The stake with "Omens" is to see if the Americans can find their ardour again. From the beginning Lamb Of God takes its audience by the throat with three tracks forming an impressive triumvirate. We find the style of the band, this famous groovy Thrash, but this time with a lot of rage and aggressiveness. The rhythm is fast, Blythe screams and excels on intense choruses.
After the initial shock, Lamb Of God presses on the gas pedal and offers tracks navigating between neo martial, fast Thrash with snarling vocals, brutal Death and Hardcore punk. In this context, 'September Song' takes us by surprise. After a melancholic beginning it scotches the listener in the same spirit as the trio of entry with a fierce side in the form of a cry of anger.
Lamb Of God is back to business with "Omens", showing a rage and anger that was thought to be lost forever. Randy Blythe and his comrades certainly wanted to prove that we could still count on them... The message went through perfectly. - Official website
