"With "Wonderland", 7th Crystal offers a worthy successor to "Delirium". Diversified and melodious, it represents the melodic hard rock of the 21st century."

Here comes 7th Crystal again, two years after "Delirium" which had astonished us. The Swedes, adepts of melodic hard rock, had then entered the crowded courtyard of their predecessors such as H.E.A.T., Eclipse, Art Nation, One Desire and so on. With a more modern musical approach than their colleagues, the band had played the originality card with this first try. "Wonderland" is presented to us today, will the surprise effect be confirmed?
Enriched with a second guitarist, the quartet transforms itself into a quintet and, assuming its originality, offers a very varied Hard Rock. With a contemporary sound, lulled by classic AOR melodies energized by melodic hard rock/metal impulses, themselves crossed by alternative disturbances, the patchwork reveals a coherent stylistic unity. After only two opuses, 7th Crystal already offers compositions marked with a characteristic imprint. Although Kristian Fyhr's voice has a lot to do with it, the Swedes are now easily recognisable in a blind test.
Less easy to approach than its predecessor, "Wonderland" can be appreciated over time. To stop at the first impression, focusing mainly on the qualitative level of the melodies, would be to risk missing the richness of the compositions. 'Rodeo' and 'Someday', with their changes of pace, are perfect examples. 'Million Times' is in the same vein with its Irish moments and diversified atmospheres, as is 'Higher Ground' with its progressive intentions.
7th Crystal welcomes you to the Melodic Hard Rock of the 21st century with 'Wonderland', just as deserving as its predecessor. Let's bet that it will find its audience among the fans of the genre who would be wrong not to be curious to discover this new crew, and not to take the time to appreciate its know-how. - Official website
