"Dokken's "Heaven Comes Down" is an album cut from the best of deliciously catchy melodic hard rock."

Dokken has been a long time coming. Eleven years have passed since "Broken Bones", and the band's life has been eventful, with Lynch and Pilson returning for a few dates in 2016. It was with a largely renewed line-up that Don Dokken relaunched the band to offer "Heaven Comes Down".
As is his wont, Dokken treats us to with a good dose of melodic hard rock. The melodies are effective, the choruses heady and carried by Dokken's husky, powerful voice. The simplicity and directness of the songs is a welcome addition, with excellent solos coming from pure 80s hard rock. 'Saving Grace' is reminiscent of 70s Led Zeppelin, with its main riff and Dokken's vocals.
Dokken also emphasizes the catchy side. 'Lost in You' is a sweet FM number designed to hit US radio stations, with a fabulous chorus and unstoppable melodies. 'I'll Never Give Up' and 'I Remember' are two beautiful ballads. We find Aerosmith's spirit, with excellent solos and a seductive Dokken. 'Santa Fe" is a beautiful autobiographical song with a folk tinge and an emotional charge.
"Heaven Comes Down" is an excellent vintage from a Dokken who has lost none of his ability to produce fresh, immediate songs. - Official website
