In the french rock family, Blooming Discord stands out with a vengeance! While the music scene seems to be swallowed up by rap, the underground rock landscape is full of real treasures: Landmvrks, Scarlean, Somewhere City... and now Blooming Discord with the release of "Memories From The Future".

The ten tracks that make up this long format exert a fascination and a hold on the listener, just as they do on the visitor captivated by the jellyfish on the cover. If the band's initial inspiration was associated with Avenged Sevenfold, this album moves away from it somewhat, adding an alternative touch that makes it more accessible ('Idolies'). With an approach sometimes close to metalcore (the verses of 'You Won't Be Alone', with its luminous chorus, and 'Latch'), the band explores new horizons, while mastering vocal lines that alternate between guttural fury and crystalline serenity, often evoking Slipknot.

What makes this album so successful is that Blooming Discord, despite sometimes merging genres within the same composition, never neglects the melodic aspect, often sacrificed in this type of experimentation. Each track offers an interesting contrast, revealing an unsuspected richness resulting from meticulous upstream work. Some compositions appear straightforward (the ballad 'Unlive'), others totally immersive, like 'Phantoms In Disguise', with its brilliant progressive introduction that opens up an epic universe. This feeling is reinforced by the closing track 'Memories From The Future', imbued with a captivating cinematic atmosphere.

Blooming Discord's well-produced new album is an almost total success. The execution is impeccable, offering both brutal, arduous passages and moments that remain etched in the memory. The ability to experiment while retaining a catchy melody is often a delicate challenge, and Blooming Discord rises to it with flying colors. While it's hard to guess what the band's future holds, one thing's for sure: their present is already a success.
