Who said that we had already heard everything in Heavy-Rock? A quick listening to this "No Sign Of Wisdom" will keep these gossipers quiet because if the ingredients are certainly not the most original, Manitou manages to make us recipes all more catchy than each other. It is thus with joyful solis in the pure tradition of the genre, rhythmic breaks leaning towards the progressive, very discreet but opportune keyboards and powerful and immediately memorable choruses that this formation takes us in a bubbling musical universe.
Knowing how to mix the old with bases referring to bands like Iron Maiden or Queensryche to the recent with more progressive transitions and variations in the compositions avoiding the endless verse/chorus constructions, Manitou offers without any weakness and from the start a melody and emotion. And it's not the slightly hoarse vocals, somewhere between Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden) and Edu Falashi (Angra), that will make you wonder about the feeling of this band which, without really upsetting the conventions, manages to give a fresh new boost to a genre that would tend to get bogged down.
No need to detail the different tracks whose coherence and relative variety are not lacking to convince you to throw an attentive ear on this album without any time out and excellent from the first to the last track.
