"Close to the inspirations of his original band (Flower Kings), Jonas Reingold in his project Karmakanic surprises us with more metal compositions than usual for a result always as bluffing."

Attention: band to be followed carefully. To set the scene, let's first recall that Karmakanic was created at the initiative of Jonas Reingold, gifted bass player of the Flower Kings. Those who know the man and his affinity for jazz-fusion compositions could have expected to find on "Entering The Spectra" an ersatz of his original band strongly oriented jazz-rock... It is not - really - the case.
If it is obvious that we feel the Flower Kings fiber throughout the tracks, those of you who find that this band lacks bite should be satisfied. Because Karmakanic offers us rather metal tracks. However, despite these sounds, "Entering The Spectra" remains globally in the same spirit as the usual productions of Roine Stolt. Thus, the track One Whole Half, after a purely metal introduction, is in fact transformed into a jewel that could be qualified as a jazz-metal-fusion piece. This piece, if it is not the best, gathers all the spirit of "Entering The Spectra".
Finally, as we are now used to, all this is served by an absolutely perfect technique and production. Whether you are a guitarist, a bassist, a drummer, a keyboardist, a singer or simply a music lover, listen carefully to this album and you should quickly fall to your knees, so much the mastery is there. - Official website
