"With members of Fair Warning, Scorpio and Uli Jon Roth, this "Dream And Deliver" could only be excellent ... It is indeed the case."

Let's start this review by lingering for a moment on the sumptuous cover of the new opus from Dreamtide where you will find a dreamcatcher. According to the Indian legend, this object imprisoned in its fabric the nightmares, preventing them from reaching the sleeper (they evaporated as soon as the first rays of the sun) by letting the dreams slide. Dreamtide owes its name, according to its members, to the idea that dreams and music have a lot in common and generate indescribable and unreal sensations...
These German dreamers are not completely unknown. Indeed, Helge Engelke, the very sharp guitarist, Thorsten Lüderwaldt, the keyboardist, and CC Behrens, the drummer, were members of the late Fair Warning (author of five records between 1992 and 2006). Moreover, their fellow bassist is none other than Francis Buchholz, former member (until 1992) of the Scorpions! Add to these four, a frontman who sang with Uli Jon Roth (and Buchholz) in his band and you will begin to understand that these people do not come out of nowhere and have already made their way before offering you this album which turns out to be, after "Here Come The Flood" and "Dreams (...) For The Daring", the third attempt of the quintet.
"Dream And Deliver" is full of catchy choruses. To convince yourself of this, you can throw an ear to... all the tracks! Of course, you should quickly have a preference for "A Fools Crusade", "Your Beat", "Download A Dream" (watch out, masterpiece!), "Stronger", "Keep From Falling" and "The Vow", but frankly the other tracks really defend themselves. Moreover the arrangements are impeccable in that they are much richer than what the genre too often gets us used to. Indeed, the choruses are very worked and the tempos varied. We go from FM to AOR (on the ballads), and from Hard Melodic to Funk (the guitar on the dancing " Your Beat ") or Blues à la Hendrix (the magnificent ballad " Dancing When The Night Falls "). Finally, Helge Engelke is an absolutely extraordinary guitarist, not because of his technique (although), but rather because of the particularly transporting feeling he shows at each of his interventions.
Listening to this opus, one often thinks of Journey, a reference in the genre, but a Journey at the top of his inspiration. So, Hard Rock fans, go straight for this excellent album, the best, I think, in its category for the 2008 year. Really, a magnificent object. - Official website
