Dreyelands is a Hungarian band that has been rolling since 2002 and Rooms Of Revelation is their debut album. Founded by the guitar-bass pair András Ádám Horváth and Gergely Springer, the duo was soon joined by Omar Gassama, György Nagy and Nikola Mijic. If the names AlogiA or Expedition Delta ring a bell, the latter will probably be familiar to you. If not, you should know that he could stand comparison with Russell Allen or Michael Eriksen without shuddering. His slightly hoarse medium voice and his mastered flights are a major asset to this album as well as the keyboards particularly well integrated into the whole.

After a short introduction, "Seek For Salvation" starts the album in the best way: efficient riffs, dense atmosphere, melodic but not rambling vocal lines, technical solos, the track is a total success! Then follows "Can't Hide Away" with its complex and yet affordable structure. The chorus is the occasion to point out another important aspect of the success of the Hungarian version: the mixture and the perfect osmosis between a technical progressive metal and a melodic metal borderline AOR. The continuation does not weaken and you will have the opportunity to taste other spicy dishes like the energetic "Fragments", the epic and tortured "Way To You", the formidable bubble offered by "Blossoms Of Decay", the masterpiece among the masterpiece "Vain", which comes to be registered without shivering in the lineage of a "Home" (Dream Theater), or still the glorious finale offered by a "Leaving Grace" in apotheosis.

With its excellent production, dark and rough but also precise and balanced, Rooms Of Revelation is thus an excellent discovery. To reach such a degree of perfection on a first album seemed impossible and yet they did it. Of course, the shadow of the glorious elders such as Dream Theater or Symphony X is never far away, but the whole sounds absolutely like Dreyelands and such a personality is probably what impresses the most for a first try.

SAGA: Silent Knight (1980)
ROCK - With "Silent Knight", Saga is entering the legend of progressive bands.
DIO: The Last In Line (1984)
HEAVY METAL - "Holy Diver" had affirmed it with force, but "The Last In Line" crushes the least doubts which could remain: Dio is a great band led by an exceptional singer!
