H.E.A.T., Swedish band who released their first album in 2008, was named "revelation of the year" in the land of the fjords, reached the final of the Swedish selection for the Eurovision the following year and replaced its frontman in 2010 after releasing "Freedom Rock", unanimously appreciated, by Erik Grönwall who, in December 2009, won the Swedish Idol TV show. But not only do we have here a charismatic frontman, a cross between Billy Idol and Joe Elliot for the look with a damn sharp voice (his first single has been classified gold download and his first album, N°1 in the Swedish charts, has been certified platinum), but beyond this not negligible element, we're also dealing with a band capable of producing an opus associating the Swedish mastery of a Europe or a Treat with the British class of a Def Leppard.

Big intros, verses that raise the pressure, promising bridges, amazing choruses, and melodious and racy solos, everything's here to have the album of the year. Because indeed, how can you not fall for "Breaking The Silence" where we meet Bon Jovi ("Raise Your Hands") who fights with Def Leppard, on "Living On The Run", sumptuous melodically speaking from beginning to end, including on the huge solo, listening to which one thinks of Brother Firetribe or even Treat, and on "Falling Down" with its colossal departure, its magnificent melodic lines and its break à la Whitesnake ("Crying In The Rain").

"The One An Only" also brings us closer to the Def Leppard thanks to its backing vocals ("Love Bites") and "Better Off Alone" takes us to the Night Ranger side, "In And Out Of Trouble" is a cross between Toto and FM, "Need Her" leans towards Richard Marx and Bryan Adams, "Heartbraker" is close to Bon Jovi  while the jumping "It's All About Tonight" reminds Def Leppard, "Hysteria" period.

There's not much more to say. With its cover as bad as the music is good, this "Adress The Nation" is of a very rare level. H.E.A.T. has just released a simply exceptional album..

OTHER REVIEWS
KING CRIMSON: Larks' Tongue In Aspic (1973)
PROGRESSIVE ROCK - "Larks' Tongue In Apsic" is for King Crimson the album of sound experimentation through dissonances, nuances and much more marked and violent sonorities. Certainly the most accomplished album of the group.
OZZY OSBOURNE: Diary Of A Madman (1981)
MELODIC METAL - If it doesn't revolutionize the formula used on "Blizzard Of Ozz", "Diary Of A Madman" is nevertheless a brilliant confirmation of the talent of Ozzy Osbourne and his team who lead us once again to the borders of a madness as worrying as intoxicating.
