With this "Bye Bye Lullaby", The Murder Of My Sweet offers us their second album after a "Divanity" which had been successful in the country of origin of the combo, Sweden, where the single "Bleed Me Dry" had climbed to 14th place in the charts. It must be said that Daniel Flores, who holds the drums and composes the tracks, plays with his second combo a more easy rock, something he can't do with his original project, the Progressive Metal band Mind's Eye.

Much more tinged with FM, or even Pop, than the other combos which, like Evanescence, Within Temptation or Delain, play in the same playground as the Swedes, The Murder Of My Sweet and its vocalist Angelica Rylin shamelessly caress the lover of sweet tracks. But the syncopated side of the riffs is less Metal than the ones that sprinkle Sharon's band's compositions or those made by Charlotte's companions. However, the band keeps its own characteristics, the sounds are synthetic, the technical passages are non-existent and multiple arrangements sprinkle the titles; most often neo, sometimes symphonic, they are the trademark of the band which explains why they offer Cinematic Metal. When it comes to vocals, Angelica unfortunately doesn't breathe as much emotion into its scores as the two beautiful ones mentioned above. There's no question to talk about falsity, as we can read here and there, but we have to admit that the vocal encephalogram remains flat.

However, even if the Swedes are unlikely to find a place in the hearts of fans of the genre alongside the aforementioned bands, the fact remains that they could very well interest fans of Melodic Hard-Rock. The Murder Of My Sweet don't invent anything with this "Bye Bye Lullaby" which is far from being original but the essay contains enough catchy titles to give you a few pleasures over several listenings.

ROCK - "Beggars Banquet" had marked the passage of the Rolling Stones to a higher level, "Let It Bleed" comes to install them definitively at the top of the Rock hierarchy

HARD ROCK - Sounding like a basic Hard-Rock like Dio had offered us many years before, "Bring Heavy Rock To The Land" is an album to forget.
