A new vibratory misdeed of Nile is always an expected event, a disruption of sound habits. Music Waves has always had a fondness for Karl Sanders' band, because not only has it given birth to a new genre resulting from the coupling between oriental ambiences and unhealthy death metal, it has always offered quality productions that are revered by unconditional fans.

On this new offering, the combo does not deviate from tradition. Thus, "What Should Not Be Unearthed" exposes the usual musical qualities: a profusion of tortured, enharmonic and suffocating guitars that attack the ears ('Call To Destruction','In The Name of Amun'); massive, sticky and crushing tracks that torture the soul; moments of repulsive nightmares that are chilling ('Negating the Abominable Coils of Aleppo','Liber Stella Rubae'); incessant blasts and rhythms that thicken the sound space and make music difficult to access; a cavernous, deep voice from beyond the grave, with aggressive imprecations ('Age of Famine').

The melody lover will be lost in this deluge of sound that makes Suffocation, Obituary or Sepultura sound like choirboys. The disc is as repulsive and nauseating as it is impressive by the technicality it deploys and the ease with which it builds suffocating climates in the infernal darkness. This new abomination is an extension of the talent printed by previous productions, which, although it does not renew the genre, completes the Dantean work of these musicians.

Even if this opus is controversial, with critics blaming the musicians for staying with their achievements, we liked this jouissive record on which the band's identity is engraved, recognizable among thousands. "What Should Not Be Unearthed" shocking and attractive, hides in its bosom a deadly, masterly and dazzling beauty...

CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL: Cosmo's Factory (1970)
ROCK - Less Roots and constant than "Green River", less varied than "Willy And The Poor Boys", "Cosmo's Factory" does not demerit for all that by presenting a Creedence Clearwater Revival sure of itself and in full possession of its capacities.
THE MURDER OF MY SWEET: Beth Out Of Hell (2015)
MELODIC HARD ROCK - Close to Meta Loaf, "Beth Out Of Hell" is just a good hard rock/pop/symphonic record.
