"Between energetic AOR and melodic hard, Out Of This World's eponymous album takes us back a few decades with an unstoppable and deliciously old-fashioned recipe."

After Kee Of Hearts in 2017, Out Of This World sees again Kee Marcello (ex Europe) and Tommy Heart (Fair Warning, Soul Doctor) join forces for a first eponymous album. It's surprising to see this band change their moniker, especially when you see that bassist Ken Sandin (Swedish Erotica) is also on board. After the word game using their names, the two men have this time named their formation after the title of the opus that had seen Marcello join the ranks of Europe ("Out Of This World" - 1988).
The roots of "Out Of This World" are deeply anchored in the 80's with numerous reminiscences to the legends of the genre that cross several tracks. A little bit of Journey on 'Twilight', Toto on 'Hanging On' or Foreigner on 'In A Million Years', and the stage is set. Kee Marcello is not satisfied with riffs with a formidable efficiency and luminous soli: he also grabs the keyboards that he makes sound in a deliciously old-fashioned way helped for that by Don Airey (Deep Purple) on four titles.
If it would be tedious to note all the aspects recalling the original formations of the two leaders of this group, it is much more interesting to point out some more surprising passages which reinforce the interest of this opus without dead time and captivating from the beginning to the end. Among these, the amusing wink made to the 'Message In The Bottle' of Police on 'Staring At The Sun' the time of the first verses, but especially the tornado 'The Warrior' which comes to shake a whole which did not even envisage to be calmed. Moment of madness impressive of technique, this fast and crazy hard rock inevitably evokes the 'Hot For Teacher' of Van Halen ("1984"). Adding to the general enthusiasm of this collection of ten melodic nuggets, this title is also symbolic of the talent of the pair Marcello / Heart to appropriate all these influences.
It is a real master stroke that the two companions and their accomplices realize here with an opus allowing to go back a few decades. "Out Of This World" has the great merit to make us forget the surrounding dramas during its ten tracks by wrapping us in a bubble of carefree happiness. - Official website
