"Returning to a classic formula for Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, "Wilde Kinder" is a nice mix of folk, death and martial metal."

The adventure that Die Apokalyptischen Reiter lived with "The Divine Horsemen" was not banal and marked the musicians. After this introspective and experimental record, the German band is back to normal. "Wilde Kinder" is the name of the new offering of a band now in quartet after the defection of Dr Pest. To say "normal" sounds strange for a band that never was. The album, which contains ten tracks, sees the band find their feet again, still at the crossroads of death, folk and more martial metal.
The band has fun mixing the genres up on the first few tracks, with the listener getting a jolt of vicious, nasty vocals, fast-paced riffs and heavy drums. Then Fuchs calms down the game, his ability to change his vocals quickly remains bluffing and confirms his status as master of ceremony of the band. He becomes a charmer and storyteller, the choruses are terribly catchy and the keyboard brings an irresistible dancing folk touch.
'Euer Gott is Der Tod' imposes by its power tinged with a dark melancholy. The growl has a huge impact as well as the keyboard and its symphonic side, giving the track a succulent black metal color. There are also seductive songs ('Von Freiheit Will Ich Singen', 'Leinen Los' and 'Blau', with a great melodic strength), folk oriented, with direct and efficient melodies and charming choruses carried by a theatrical Fuchs.
Die Apokalyptischen Reiter signs a varied record and its leader shows that it has lost nothing of its creative madness. A real roller coaster ride, the record will delight the lovers of a sound always out of the ordinary. - Official website
